The Foundation: Richey & Danielle
Book Cliff Game Birds began in 1996 with a vision and a lot of hard work. Richey and Danielle Hansen founded this company, building the foundation for what BCGB is today. From raising three children while constructing bird pens in the driving snow to managing "peeps" through the blistering Green River summers, they’ve lived every part of this life. Their dedication to the birds and the land wasn’t just a job—it was a way of life they wouldn’t have traded for anything.​
The Next Generation: Gage & McKenzy
In 2020, the legacy entered a new chapter when Gage and McKenzy Hansen purchased the ranch. Carrying forward the same work ethic they grew up with, Gage and McKenzy now operate the business alongside Richey and Danielle. With their young daughter now growing up on the ranch, the family tradition continues into its third generation. This transition has allowed us to modernize our operations while staying true to the roots that the Hansen family planted decades ago.
